BREAKING BAD#Limbo HenGoku with a review on the well known series Breaking Bad Genre: Crime, Drama, Thriller Age certification: Rated R Directer: Vince Gilligan Writer(s): Vince Gilligan Notable actor(s): Bryan Cranston, Aaron Paul, RJ Mitte, Anna Gunn Release Information: January 20, 2008 - September 29, 2013, English Plot Outline: A chemistry teacher diagnosed with a terminal lung cancer, teams up with his former student, Jesse Pinkman, to cook and sell crystal meth Review Acting 10/10: The acting in this movie is probably one of the best acting I have ever seen. Bryan Cranston kills it as Walter White. There's a reason why he won an emmy for each season. Aaron Paul also did a good job in the show. Everyone in this show brought their A game. The acting was very believable and made the characters likable for what they were and made them hateble for what they were. Writing 10/10: I thought the writing in the movie was flawless as well. The story is very intriguing and the characters are introduced. There is some very good character development in this show as well. I would say that there was one unnecessary episode but even it was enjoyable to watch. The dailog is very good, too. Soundtrack 10/10: I thought the soundtrack in the movie was pretty good and that it fit each scene perfectly. I don't remember much being played but I know I liked it a lot. Especially the opening intro. Visuals 10/10: This show looks pretty good and I thought everything looked real. The blood looks real, the gun fights look real, everything was eye candy. The visuals added to overall expereince Feels 10/10: I was very emotionally invested in the movie. I really felt for Aaron Paul's charater, Jessie Pinkman. The things he was going through, the amount of loses he had was just sad to me. Personal Experiences: This a really good show. First of all, I like how they show the main characters decline to villainy, I thought they did that really well. My favorite character throughout the entire show is Jessie Pinkman. I thought he was pretty badass. You know how some shows had bad seasons? Not this one. This show literally gets better and darker each season. There are no bad seasons what so ever. There is absolutely nothing I did not like about this show. Overall Rating 10/10 Amazing Would I recommend it? Of course I would recommend one of the best dramas ever made. If you have not seen this show, what're you doing? Where the remake failed, the original did everything right. Here's the review for The Inbetweeners by +Factor
The Inbetweeners (UK Version) Age Certification: TV-14 Genre: Comedy Director: Ben Palmer Writers: Iain Morris, Damon Beesley Run Time: 2008-2012 Synopsis: The exploits of four friends, who are socially only marginally above what one of them calls "the freaks", are presented as they grow from their late teen years into adults and as they go on their quest, usually unsuccessfully, for such grown up things as beer and sex. Review Acting: 10/10 I believe the acting was very well done here. Very believable characters that were easy to like and understand. Writing: 10/10 I loved the cringe comedy in The Inbetweeners. It's not very easy to do cringe comedy and most of the time people end up failing, but here it's done correctly and it's really funny. There weren't any filler scenes really, all the scenes had influence on the plot in the long run. Sound/Music: 7.5/10 For what it's worth, the soundtrack is pretty decent. The intro theme is really catchy and set an overall nice tone for the show. None of the sounds are overly comedic and annoying, they don't give away any of the comedic moments either. Visuals: 6/10 This is based solely on the dialogue. So there's not much to say about the visuals. "Feels": 10/10 The characters were easy to bond with and are very likable. I felt really happy when watching The Inbetweeners and got emotionally invested with the characters. Personal Experiences: In spite of The Inbetweeners being a bit short, I enjoyed all of it. All the characters were lots of fun, the cringe humor was very good and the show made me want to see more of that. It's truly a gem of comedy that was short lived but will never be forgotten. Would I recommend it? Yeah, it's really funny, the show s great plots for each episode and the characters are very enjoyable. Overall Rating: 8.3/10 A must for comedy fans. The adventurous +Factor has seen yet another TV show he'd like to share with us: Rick and Morty.
Rick and Morty Genre: Animation, Adventure, Comedy Age Certification: TV-14 Creators: Dan Harmon, Justin Roiland Notable Actors: Dan Harmon, Justin Roiland Run Time: 2013- Synopsis: An animated series that follows the exploits of a super scientist and his not so bright grandson. Review Acting: 10/10 I really loved Rick in this show. He acted like a real grandfather would and they make him really funny as well, the timing for the characters and their jokes are spot on and perfect. I always want to hear another line from all of them after they finish one. Writing: 10/10 The characters are very well written and all the jokes are very funny, well written and all around enjoyable and Rick and Morty never gets boring. There's not much confusion or a lot of plot holes either. Sound/Music: 8/10 There's not much of a soundtrack here but when it's used, it's used very well. In addition, the opening intro has a really cool song to match the tone of the show perfectly. The sound effects that are used sound very realistic and not annoying at all. Visuals: 10/10 The animation used here is very well made. It's very smooth, and it really catches my eye. The way the artists make the characters is really cool and creative. Many of the villains look really cool and spell creativity and eye candy to viewers. "Feels": 10/10 I could bond with the characters easily. All of them are likable and weren't ever annoying and hateful, I could easily understand their motives. I felt very happy watching this show and very eager to watch episode after episode, overall great characters to work with. Personal Experiences: I had lots of fun with this show. The adventures Rick and Morty go on are just entertaining to see and it's a great experience to see them go on those adventures. Also, the two have a great relationship that was proven to exist in an episode. Rick is easily my favorite character in this show. He's funny, and a cool grandfather anyone would want to have live with them in my opinion. I'd like to thank Greenlean once again for recommending this show. Would I recommend it? Yeah, if you like Sci-Fi, Comedy, and Adventure you will enjoy this show without a doubt. Overall Rating: 9.7/10 Factor hits us with his latest review for the TV series Arrow.
Arrow Genre: Action, Adventure, Crime Director: John Behring Writers: Greg Berlanti, Marc Guggenheim Notable Actors: Stephen Amell, Katie Cassidy, David Ramsey Run Time: 2012- Synopsis: Spoiled billionaire playboy Oliver Queen is missing and presumed dead when his yacht is lost at sea. He returns five years later a changed man, determined to clean up the city as a hooded vigilante armed with a bow. Review Acting: 10/10 The acting is phenomenal. It really made me capture the essence of what was going on in each scene, making it very realistic. Writing: 8/10 I liked the writing, the characters are developed well and easy to understand. Unfortunately, there are a few unnecessary scenes, but that doesn't take away from the overall experience. Sound/Music: 10/10 Arrow's soundtrack is really cool. It captures the intensity in the action scenes perfectly. Visuals: 9/10 I loved the visuals, especially during the action scenes. They looked outstanding and one of a kind to me personally, very well done in general. "Feels": 10/10 I could feel that I was really in the show and feel the drama and hardships the characters are feeling, which is awesome so I could get a better understanding of the characters and how they react to certain situations. Personal Experiences: I really liked Arrow. I was hooked from the very beginning of the first episode to now, all the action and the build-up to the villains. It's really awesome and you should check it out. Some villains make cameos ranging from one to several episodes in Arrow, which is really sweet. Would I recommend it? Yeah, it has great action, a great storyline, and great characters overall. It's lots of fun to watch and it's simply epic. Overall Rating: 9.4/10 Factor reviews yet another TV series today, the animated Clone High. Let's see if the series is as great as its premise!
Clone High Genre: Animation, Comedy, Sci-Fi Age Certification: TV-14 Run Time: 2002-2003 (13 episodes) Creators: Phil Lord, Christopher Miller Notable Actors: Will Forte, Phil Lord, Michael McDonald Synopsis: The greatest minds of the world have been cloned and are now attending high school together. Review Acting: 10/10 I loved the acting in Clone High. All of the characters are believable and are very funny. Writing: 10/10 I found all the characters interesting, they were very easy to follow along with and just all around enjoyable. Sound/Music: 6/10 There are hardly any music or sound effects used. So not much to talk about. Visuals: 8/10 Well, the animation is not all that great. But the thing about the animation is that the characters couldn't have looked any different at all. The animation could be better but the show still stands up for being funny and awesome. "Feels": 10/10 The characters are very easy to relate to and like. When something goes wrong for the characters you can feel it because of how much you know them already and how likable they are. Personal Experiences: I had lots of fun watching this show and I would like to thank Greenlean for recommending it to me. It's overall really funny, full of likable characters, lots of good jokes and good cameos by many historic figures from the past. It's a short lived gem from Canada that should be known and never forgotten. Would I recommend it? Yes, go ahead and watch it already. I'm sure you'll have a great experience just like I did. Overall Rating: 8.5/10 An amazing show, just take breaks in between episodes if you need to. Science aficionado Factor is back to tell us about his learning experience while watching Bill Nye The Science Guy.

On a full range of subjects, including ecology, biology, chemistry and physics, Nye gives an easy-to-understand, yet informative lesson that both kids and their parents can enjoy. Review Acting: 10/10 Well, Bill Nye is amazing at being funny while teaching viewers of all kind science. His skits are both educational and hilariously awesome. The characters in his skits acted well without having to be too over the top. Writing: 10/10 Everything was well written for this. The skits, the experiments, the everything. It was just golden. Sound/Music: 10/10 There wasn't music but there were stock sounds used. I felt that they used to effect the comedic sense of it because of how over the top this is. Visuals: 10/10 The visuals used to represent what was being thought was very well made and couldn't be done better, truly amazing. "Feels": 10/10 I was instantly hooked and was entertained while educated which was really awesome. Props to Bill for being able to be funny and educational at the same time. My Personal Experience: I had lots of fun watching this in school and learned a lot from it. I felt that the skits were very well done in my opinion. It made science lots of fun for me and others alike. Would I recommend it? Why wouldn't I? This is golden and should never be forgotten and is in TV history. Overall Rating: 10/10 A really fun way to learn science. Factor gives us another TV show review, this time the short-lived comedy show Henry Danger.
Henry Danger Episodes: 8 Genre: Comedy Age Certification: TV-Y7 Director: Dan Schneider Writer: Dan Schneider Notable Actors: Cooper Barnes Released: 7/26/2014 Plot Outline: Comedy about 13-year-old Henry who lands a part-time job as Danger Boy, a sidekick in training to super crime fighter Captain Man. Review Acting: 1/10 I hated all the characters, they were all annoying and not enjoyable at all. Really just a nuisance at best and worst. Writing: 1/10 Nothing was funny and just plain awkward and painful to watch. There were many irrelevant things in scenes and many plot holes. Visuals: 1/10 It wasn't funny or enjoyable so the visuals wouldn't help either. Sound and Music 3/10: This movie played really cheesy music that wasn't entertaining and didn't really effect the comedy and made it even more unbearable. Visuals: 1/10 It looked very cheesy and couldn't be taken seriously and looked very stupid. "Feels": 1/10 All the characters were annoying, mean-spirited, and just not funny at all Personal Experience: [MINOR PLOT SPOILERS] Where do I start, this movie is all kinds of bad. The characters are unfunny, annoying, and some are just mean-spirited. There's this one little girl who's all about Facebook and how she cries when she loses a friend on it and has to go to the parent's house to talk about it. WHAT IN THE WORLD??!!! Why are you letting your 7 year old daughter on Facebook? I can't explain something so stupid as that. Also, the movie skipped a whole fight scene. Not showing off powers or any bonding with characters, nope nothing. This "Captain Man" (already a silly name) is not funny but just mean-spirited. The villain, "The Toddler" is just your basic blow up the city cliche villain. Nothing special about him really. Also, he has a really annoying voice. The laugh track really made no sense and shouldn't have been there Would I recommend it? No. It's not funny, annoying, stupid and everything else that makes something looks bad. Overall Rating: 1/10 A waste of time, stay away from it. In an all new review for The Inbetweeners, Factor tells us what can go wrong when trying to imitate a classic.
The Inbetweeners Episodes: 12 Age Certification: TV-MA Directors: Iain Morris Writers: Ryan Ridley Notable Actors: Bubba Lewis, Zack Pearlman, Joey Pollari, Mark L. Young Released: 2012, English Plot Outline: Four high school friends are not cool or popular, but not total dorks, either. Review Acting: 1/10 This is just disgusting to watch. None of this is funny, and the jokes are the exact same as the ones from the UK version, just done worse. The characters are not believable, the monologues from Will are monotone and boring. It's just not good, the characters don't fit their part at all. Writing: 1/10 The writing is atrocious, the jokes aren't subtle or timed right. They're just copied, line for line. Sound/Music: 1/10 Not much here to begin with, but basically the music gives away the jokes and it's just annoying to listen to. Visuals: 1/10 The camera in this didn't catch the feeling like the original Inbetweeners did. It's just your original teen drama. "Feels": 1/10 I couldn't bond with any of the characters. They didn't fit their parts at all and none of their actions were justified. Sometimes it's too obnoxious and annoying for me to keep watching. Personal Experience: Well, I hated this. Jay is overweight and overly obnoxious and just unlikable in the sense. Will looks like a Jonas brother and can't fit the part of the nerdy kid right unlike Simon Bird does as Will in the UK version. Simon looks like a popular kid as well, and wouldn't be in the part of an "Inbetweener". Neil, oh god Neil, he looks like he's so stupid he's smart. He looks like a stoner unlike the original one that just hangs loose and is carefree and stupid. Would I recommend it? No, stay away from this abomination of a remake. It really killed The Inbetweeners for me and it'll also kill the series for you as well. Overall Rating: 1/10 An abomination of a remake and should be burned with fire. |
